The UN Women theme, ‘March Forward’ will commemorate 30 years since the UN’s Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action for achieving gender equality.
Since then, women have broken barriers, reshaped policies, and ignited powerful movements worldwide. However, millions of women and girls still face systemic inequalities, rising violence, and economic disparities that hold them back from reaching their full potential.
Come to one of our networking events to hear from speakers who are delivering programs that help women reach that potential and find out how much more must be done to close the gender pay gap, ensure women’s safety, and to fairly value both paid and unpaid care work.
WiAD is here for women in Australia who deliver these programs worldwide - ‘March Forward’ gives us the opportunity to hear about turning gender equality commitments into action.
This is your event so please send us the questions you want our speakers to address on the night.
Come along to meet other women in the sector, share a glass of wine and nibbles and make new connections.
Cost: FREE for WIAD Members, $25 for Supporters, $10 for Non-Member Students, interns and unwaged $5 online.
*Members will be sent a discount code for free access, please check your emails (including spam/junk mail). *Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable.
